October is one of the most magical months at Akira Academy Daycare and Preschool. The crisp air, vibrant fall colors, and the spirit of Halloween make it a special time for our students and staff alike. This month, we have a series of fun-filled events planned that will bring our community together to celebrate the joys of the season. From hayrides to pumpkin picking, and our much-anticipated Trunk or Treat, October is going to be full of laughter, excitement, and unforgettable memories!

Hayride and Pumpkin Picking: A Day at the Farm

We’re kicking off October with one of our favorite traditions—a trip to the farm for a hayride and pumpkin picking! On October 10th, our students will enjoy a delightful hayride through the scenic countryside, taking in the beauty of the autumn landscape. This is a perfect opportunity for children to learn about the fall season, see how pumpkins grow, and experience the joy of picking their very own pumpkin to take home.

The day will be filled with fun activities, including a picnic lunch and plenty of opportunities for photos, so don’t forget to pack a camera! This event is always a highlight for our students, and we’re looking forward to creating special memories with them.

Fall Harvest Event: Celebrating the Season

As we continue to celebrate the season, we’ll be hosting our Fall Harvest Event on October 20th. This in-school celebration will feature a variety of autumn-themed activities that engage all of our students. From crafting scarecrows to making apple cider and decorating pumpkins, the Fall Harvest Event is all about embracing the sights, smells, and tastes of fall.

Parents are welcome to join us for this festive occasion. It’s a great time to see the creativity of our students in action and to share in the joy of the season with the entire Akira Academy community.

Annual Trunk or Treat: Halloween Fun for Everyone!

We’re wrapping up October with our Annual Trunk or Treat event on October 31st—a spooktacular celebration that our students look forward to all year long! This safe, family-friendly event is the perfect way to enjoy Halloween with our Akira Academy community. Parents, staff, and friends are invited to decorate the trunks of their cars with Halloween themes, and our little ones will parade through the parking lot in their costumes, collecting treats along the way.

There will be prizes for the best-decorated trunks, games, and plenty of treats to go around. We encourage everyone to get creative with their costumes and trunk decorations—it’s all about having fun and getting into the Halloween spirit!
