Welcome to September at Akira Academy Daycare and Preschool! The air is filled with the excitement of a new academic year, and we’re thrilled to welcome all our students, both new and returning, to a year full of learning, growth, and fun. This month is packed with exciting activities, important events, and the start of our Pre-K Counts program.

The Beginning of the Academic Year: A Fresh Start

September marks the start of a new chapter for our students. As we kick off the academic year, our classrooms are buzzing with energy as children explore their new environments, reconnect with friends, and dive into hands-on learning. Our teachers have carefully planned a curriculum that blends creativity, exploration, and foundational skills to ensure that every child has a rewarding and enriching experience.

Whether it’s storytime, art projects, or early math and literacy activities, each day is designed to inspire a love of learning. We’re committed to providing a nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to come to school every day.

Pre-K Counts: Laying the Foundation for Success

We are especially excited to begin our Pre-K Counts program this year. This state-funded initiative is designed to provide high-quality pre-kindergarten education to children, helping to prepare them for success in school and beyond. Our Pre-K Counts classrooms are led by experienced educators who focus on building essential skills through play-based learning, social interaction, and individualized attention.

Parents of our Pre-K Counts students can rest assured that their children are receiving an education that aligns with the highest standards, setting them up for a successful transition to kindergarten. We look forward to seeing our Pre-K students thrive and grow throughout the year.

Back to School Night: Connecting with Our Community

One of the highlights of September is our annual Back to School Night, scheduled for September 14th. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to meet their child’s teachers, explore the classroom, and learn more about the year ahead. We’ll be sharing important information about our curriculum, daily routines, and ways you can support your child’s learning at home.

Back to School Night is also a great time to connect with other families, ask questions, and get to know the Akira Academy community. We believe that strong partnerships between parents and teachers are key to a child’s success, and we’re excited to work together with you to make this school year the best one yet.
